final fantasy vii was a game made in 1997 for the sony playstation after sony merged with super nintendo. then super nintendo stopped making games, and final fantasy vii became a playstation game, because the super nintendo and sony stopped making a console together. 

so final fantasy vii is on the playstation now, or it was in 1997, but if you put the game into a playstation it'll happen on your tv just like it was still 1997.*
