====== Lightweight ======
{{ :fig:company:lightweight_logos.gif}}Lightweight((in full: LightWeight Co., Ltd.)) is most widely known for their two samurai-based videogame series //[[game:bushido_blade_series|Bushido Blade]]//, and //[[game:kengo_series|Kengo]]//.

These series both feature somewhat realistic combat, in that a single, well placed strike, can be enough to end a match. The first //[[game:Bushido Blade]]//, in particular, takes a realistic (in its sense of adhering to Samurai film tropes) approach: life-bars are absent (they can be disabled in the //Kengo// games), areas are huge, limbs can be disabled, and the [[wp>Bushido]] code must be followed.\\
The //Kengo// series adds character development mechanics. Where the player takes a customised character through a story mode, learning techniques and stances, buying weapons and clothing, and earning money in tournaments, by fullfilling bounties, and so on.
