**Mario** may have been in more games than any other character. Since begining his working life in //[[Donkey Kong]]//, as Jumpman, Mario has had some difficulty settling into a career. Dabbling as a badguy, umpires of various sports, as well as a competitor, a sometime game presenter, plumber, demolition expert, archaeologist, typing tutor, painter---and the list goes on---Mario has, perhaps, become a good support case for the expression 'jack of all trades; master of none'.
